I am Hawaiian, born and raised on the Big Island. After almost ten years of directing and conducting in my hometown, I decided to make the move to New York. I was blessed to secure my first professional theatre contract two months after moving to the city.

I graduated in 2006 from Harvard University, acquiring a B.A. in Music in addition to performing with the Harvard and Radcliffe Gilbert and Sullivan Players, Dunster and Lowell House operas, the Harvard-Radcliffe Dramatic Club, and the Harvard Glee Club. Back home on the Big Island I have performed with (and music directed for) many theatrical organizations, including the University of Hawaii at Hilo, Palace Theater, Kilauea Drama and Entertainment Network, and Hilo Community Players. My most notable and memorable performances include John (Miss Saigon), the Beast (Beauty and the Beast), Jesus (Jesus Christ Superstar), El Gallo (The Fantasticks), and Captain Hook (Peter Pan).

I have had many wonderful experiences as a music director, choir conductor, high school teacher, and composer. I thoroughly enjoy giving back to the community, and I find great inspiration in teaching and seeing the growth in and development of others. I hope one day I can return to that life and once again help to inspire the younger generations.
